Let's discuss my ignorance for a bit, shall we?? I was totally unaware that people don't really notice height when they first meet someone unless they are either really short or really tall. It is just me. I notice everyone's height. In fact, I am pretty good at telling how tall someone is by just looking at him or her. Within one inch usually; I should work for those carnivals. Seriously though, I didn't know that it is not a major focus for some people. Again, only me.
My roommates and I always joke around about what our "types" are. Mine happens to be "Tall, Asshole." Basically, if he's taller than 5'10" and is an asshole, I like him. All kidding aside, this is basically my life.
But it seems that the truth is that nobody notices how tall other people are unless they are at an extreme. CRAZY!! Who would have known?!?! This is mildly comforting, as I now realize that I make it a million times worse than it would be if I wasn't so self-conscious. Brilliant!
